Business Owner in the US living abroad
Hello,
I have a business incorporated in the US but I am living in Europe. It is unclear to me if I meet the requirements to participate in this challenge.
Thank you in advance for your clarification.
Best,
Guido

Hello Guido,
My apologies for the belated response. Owing to the temporary shutdown of the federal government, we have been unable to monitor or respond to the discussions posted here until recently.
I am checking into this question with the General Counsel's office here at the NEA and will get back to you on this discussion board with a response as soon as I have an answer.
Thank you for your interest!

Hi Guido,
As I just posted in response to another question, it turns out the answer to this question is posted already in the "Eligibility" section:
1. To be eligible to win a prize under this competition, you: a) must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States and 18 years of age or older before the submission period ends; b) may not be a Federal employee acting within the scope of your employment; c) may be a private entity, such as a corporation or other organization, that is incorporated in and maintains a primary place of business in the United States. Individuals submitting on behalf of corporations, nonprofits, or groups of individuals (such as an academic class or other team) must meet the eligibility requirements for individual contestants. An individual may join more than one team, corporation, or nonprofit organization; and d) may not be an employee of NEA or an immediate family member (spouse, parents or step-parents, siblings and step-siblings, children and step-children, and household members).
I hope this helps. Thank you again for your interest in the SPPA challenge.
All the best,
Steve
